Material

Nylon

Nylon (polyamide) is a resin that is familiar to us in our daily lives and is one of the most widely used plastics. Nylon is the trademark name of the U.S.-based DuPont Company, which developed the material, and its official name is “polyamide” or PA. In Japan, the term “nylon” is more commonly used than “polyamide. Nylon is an engineered plastic with improved heat resistance, which is one of the weak points of most resins.

Nylon can be dyed, so you can create a product in the color of your choice.

Polycarbonate

Many people may have the image that plastic is weak against heat. However, polycarbonate is an excellent plastic that is resistant to heat, strong, and yet easy to process. For this reason, polycarbonate is used in many familiar products. Polycarbonate is a type of thermoplastic developed by Bayer AG in Germany in 1953.

Resin (ABS)

ABS resin is said to have started being used around 1960, and was commercialized by the American company U.S. Rubber in 1954.

It is a material that has improved impact resistance by chemically combining a plastic material called polystyrene with substances called acrylonitrile and butadiene.

For this reason, the name ABS resin was derived by taking one letter each from acrylonitrile (A), butadiene (B), and polystyrene (S).

Casting

One of the casting techniques in which metal materials melted at high temperature are injected into a mold under pressure. Copper, aluminum, zinc die-casting, etc. are used for this casting technique, which is characterized by its precision and beautiful surface finish. Silicone

Silicone, made from silicon, has excellent heat resistance, cold resistance, and temperature stability (-100°C to 250°C). Another major merit of this material is that it is soft but not easily deformed, does not crack when dropped or impacted, and is inexpensive as a material. Original colors are also available. It is suitable for sports clothing.
