Rakuten Fashion Week ( Tokyo Fashion Week) (Twice a year, SS and AW) 

Even if you are not in the fashion industry and just a fashion fan in general, this is definitely your must go event! Along with Paris, Milan, London and New York, Tokyo fashion week is one of the 5 major fashion weeks over the world. The name has been changed several times due to the sponsor each year, but they are basically the same Tokyo Fashion Week. 

 Time: Around March (AW collection) 

            Mid October (SS collection) 

Venue: Various place around 

Tokyo Premium Textile Japan (Twice a year, SS and AW) 

This is a textile event organized by the Japan Fashion Week Promotion Organization, which is held twice a year in spring and autumn. Most of the participating companies are Japan companies, but some companies that handle auxiliary materials and overseas companies also participate. 

Time: Around May (SS collection)

           Late November (AW collection) 

Venue: Tokyo International Forum Exhibition Venue 

JFW Creation (One a year)

 Sponsored by Japan Fashion Week Promotion Organization, JFW Creation is a comprehensive trade fair for fashion textiles.Held once a year, together with Premium Textile Japan AW. Companies related to the textile industry are participating, and a wide variety of companies such as buttons, lace, twisted yarn, leather, printing equipment, etc. are participating.

Time: Late November (AW collection) 

Venue: Tokyo International Forum Exhibition Venue

 Fashion World Tokyo (Twice a year) 

One of the largest fashion trade fairs in Japan, consisting of 6 specialised EXPO: Fashion wear, Bag, Shoes, Textile Tokyo, Fashion Sourcing Tokyo and Sustainable Fashion Tokyo. It is a great gateway to the Japanese market with over 1000 companies participating every time. 

Time: Late March Mid October

Venue: Tokyo Big Sight. 

JIAM ( One per 2-4 years)

Japan International Apparel Machinery & Textile Industry Trade Show or JIAM is one of the biggest sewing equipment trade fairs in the world. Organized by Japan Sewing Machinery Manufacturers Association (JASMA), JIAM is known as a key event when you want to enter the industry. The event has over 10000 visitors, from 72 countries and regions, making it a great opportunity to expand your business into the Asian market.

Time: December 2022

Venue: INTEX Osaka

 Of course Japan is the center of fashion in Asian, and there are countless exhibitions year around. However these 5 events represent the most complete picture of Japan Fashion and Textile Industry.
